The Sandycove View
Another of our favourite places between Wicklow and Dublin is Sandycove and today,on panoramic Saturday,we take in an early morning wide view across from the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire, to Scotsman's Bay and the seafront of Sandycove.

Today we're at the Upper Vartry Reservoir, near Roundwood, County Wicklow and you can fish here for brown trout, should you have the required fishing permit.

The Solitary Cormorant
I've only ever seen one cormorant at a time, feeding in Wicklow Harbour, presumably this is the same one that I pictured in this earlier post. Solitary fishing seems to be the norm for cormorants in these parts especially in springime during the breeding season.
