So, an all too brief visit to Polo Wicklow's tournament at Ballyhenry on Sunday. As a non polo player I was pleasantly surprised at the sheer spectacle of the game, the magnificent ponies and the beautiful setting at Ballyhenry Stables.

professionals!

A few minutes from Aughrim we find the very green Brooklodge & Wells Spa, Macreddin Village, Co Wicklow. Here for the farmers' market but just missed a wedding at the chapel pictured left. Below, the view from the little bridge:

En route to Aughrim, Co Wicklow, we pass the Woodenbridge Hotel, first licensed in 1608 as a coaching inn on the old Dublin-Wexford highway. Opposite the hotel is Woodenbridge Golf Club, one of the most scenic golf courses in Ireland. On the left is a view from the bridge over the Aughrim River between Woodenbridge and Aughrim.
Following on from yesterday's post, contrast this view of the derelict former gypsum factory, located 100 metres from the marina, with the view upriver from the visitors' pontoon.
