While the whelk catch is being loaded in Wicklow Harbour the gulls get to indulge in a veritable feast from the top crates in each pile.  Unauthorised?  Try telling that to the gulls!

The Solitary Cormorant


I've only ever seen one cormorant at a time, feeding in Wicklow Harbour, presumably this is the same one that I pictured in this earlier post. Solitary fishing seems to be the norm for cormorants in these parts especially in springime during the breeding season.
