Another Dun Laoghaire Harbour View

Just can't resist Dun Laoghaire Harbour so here, for Panoramic Saturday, is another view from the East Pier.

No Unauthorised Use

While the whelk catch is being loaded in Wicklow Harbour the gulls get to indulge in a veritable feast from the top crates in each pile.  Unauthorised?  Try telling that to the gulls!

Below, the gull on the left keeps watch as his friend tucks in!

Walkin' The Walk

Upriver On A Slow Day

The Sandycove View

Another of our favourite places between Wicklow and Dublin is Sandycove and today,on  panoramic Saturday,we take in an early morning wide view across from the East Pier in Dun Laoghaire, to Scotsman's Bay and the seafront of Sandycove.

The Solitary Cormorant

I've only ever seen one cormorant at a time, feeding in Wicklow Harbour, presumably this is the same one that I pictured in this earlier post. Solitary fishing seems to be the norm for cormorants in these parts especially in springime during the breeding season.

The Harbour Kite

On our frequent trips between the home base of Wicklow and work in Dublin, it's always a pleasure to stop off along the way in Dun Laoghaire, and as this is panoramic Saturday, here's a wide view, from the end of the east pier, back across the beautiful harbour to the town.

Today, Saturday, we start what will hopefully be a weekly feature of panoramic views from around County Wicklow, and so our first view is of the cargo ship AB Bilbao unloading in Wicklow Harbour.
